These films were released on the UK National Archive to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Office of Information. It was this office's role to help inform the masses at time of war and crisis. The films were often shown during television advertising breaks in the UK. This set of films was used to advise the public on what to do in various situations, from crossing the road, to the change to "What to do if there is a rabies outbreak?" Public Information Films are no longer made in the UK, however some organizations use their own versions nowadays.
